Compliments of the Season

Holy smokes, people: you contributed $5600 for school supplies in Liberian schools. Average gift of $200!! And at Christmas-time, when you are getting bombarded with requests from all manner of extremely worthy projects.

From my full and grateful heart: thank you.

My plan is to visit Bogbeh School next week to personally deliver at least some of these supplies. Things in Liberia are a bit fluid...so there is a chance this won't happen. Then again, there is a chance I get to visit 3 schools instead of just one. The fluidity goes in many directions. ;) What I can promise is that every dollar will be put into tools and supplies for teachers and students. That part I know, in part because of my colleagues here, and in part because I will be following through on it with vigor. (This will come as a surprise to approximately no one.)

The Christmas season is in full swing here, and the phrase people pass in the streets is "Compliments of the Season."

Compliments to you, wonderful people, who are making these kids lives better. Truly, it matters.

I come home Dec 22. I CANNOT WAIT TO HUG AND KISS YOU!
